The ATC strike in Spain is confirmed for the 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th June. Daily strike hours confirmed: 08:00 – 10:00UTC and 16:00 – 18:00 UTC. Minimum service and sector configurations will be very close to the standard staffing levels and for LEBL/LEMD TWR normal operations expected. No pre-tactical regulations will be applied and after the strike normal ops are expected and according to the Spanish authorities minimum impact is anticipated. Spanish Air Traffic Controllers at all Area Control Centres have voted in favour of industrial action.
Dates (to be confirmed): 8, 10,12 and 14th June, daily 4 hours strike ( 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon). More information will follow as available.
Weston Aviation To Open New FBO Facility at Newquay Cornwall Airport
Weston Aviation have agreed terms on a new long term lease and contract for the provision of fixed based operations at Newquay Cornwall Airport (NQY/EGHQ) in the south-west of England. The new building will provide 8,800 sq.ft. of passenger and crew lounge area, meeting rooms, pilot rest areas and self-briefing facilities for business aircraft owners and crews and GA pilots.
“This is our fourth move to ever increasing facilities in relation to size and facilities offered to our customers at Newquay Cornwall Airport since we opened there in 2003, which confirms our commitment and continuing investment to the airport and the surrounding region. We are delighted to secure a long term future at Newquay and in turn reconfirms our commitment for many years to come to the airport”, said Nick Weston, the company’s founder and Managing Director.
Opening in July, ready for the summer period, the new facility that forms part of the new Aerohub cluster of aviation businesses at the airport, will ensure that Newquay Cornwall Airport continues to be the main business aviation airport of choice for the south-west of England.

Italian ATC Strike Cancelled- Two Airports Remain on Strike
The industrial action due on the 21st April 2015 has been cancelled. However, there are two remaining airports on strike from 11:00Z – 15:00Z. NOTAMS LI1B2071/2015 (ANCONA/FALCONARA) and L1B2073/2015 (VERONA/VILLAFRANCA) announce the local strike at Verona Villafranca (LIPX) and Ancona Falconara (LIPY) airports on the 21st April 2015.

New Business Aviation Centre and FBO at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield
On the 9th July 2012, Weston Aviation opened the doors of its fourth UK Business Aviation Centre and FBO at Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. This new Centre, lifts Weston Aviation to become the second largest FBO chain in the UK in terms of locations.
The facility will be managed by Stuart Graseley and his team, who all bring with them extensive experience in executive and commercial ground handling.
